Meet Author Suzanne Fuller in the Pioneer Classroom at the Arboretum for an engaging presentation that will take you back in time to a brand new town. Egan was founded in the Dakota Territory in 1880, and Fuller tells the story of a fictitious 10 year old girl. She writes for young readers, weaving in heirlooms, letters, and photographs of her great-grandparents who lived in Egan at that time.
Fuller's work was awarded the 2021 WILLA Literary Award for Children's Fiction and Nonfiction, and a silver finalist award for Children's Fiction from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association.
Fuller used real life stories from The Egan Express which allowed her characters to experience actual historic events.
The Girl Who Moved to the Town That Wasn't There, is published by the Siouxland Heritage Museums Sioux Falls.

Registration includes 1 adult and 1 child.
