Floral design is an opportunity for us to bring beauty into our households, brighten the days of others, and express our artistic abilities. An overview of design principles will be discussed as well as economical ways to keep your flowers in your home year round.

JoAnn Christensen is a Minnehaha County Master Gardener and a former Vocational Agriculture Instructor in Minnesota.

Project Objectives:

2. Describe the benefits of designing your own floral designs.

3. Describe how flowers brighten your day.

4. Describe how to select healthy, fresh flowers.

5. Identify appropriate vases.

6. Grow your own flowers.

Vases and flowers will be provided.
