What is a weed?

There are many types of weeds- some are serious, others are simply a nuisance and others are even edible. Regardless, it seems weeds are everywhere - in your garden, lawn or landscape. Bring a fresh or pressed sample of your most vexing weed and find out what it really is. Management tips will be discussed.

Following the talk we will take a walk to identify and learn interesting facts about the "weeds" at the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum, in the Teaching Garden and along the Sioux River bottom. Dress accordingly and bring your walking stick!
