Youth SUSHI: Hands-on!
This event is closed.
What is sushi?
The simple definition of sushi is “vinegared rice with a filling or topping of raw, cooked, or marinated fish, shellfish, vegetables, or egg. It is eaten as a snack, an appetizer, or as a main course and comes in many different forms.
In this fun, hands-on class for TEENS, learn the art of sushi making— from preparing sushi rice, to hand-rolling techniques, and learning about Japanese ingredients. We will make an Inside-out Roll (California Roll: crab stick, avocado, and cucumber), and a Hand-rolled sushi (shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado or seasonal vegetables). At the end of the class, you will enjoy the sushi rolls that you have made.
Once you've mastered these fun-to-learn basics you'll be ready to dazzle your family or friends with your own sushi party.
